Millions Recovered In Drug Settlement

Missouri’s Medicaid program will receive millions as part of a national Medicaid fraud settlement with a pharmaceutical company.  Yesterday, Attorney General Chris Koster said Missouri had joined with other states and the federal government in a settlement against Johnson and Johnson and its subsidiaries, over unlawful marketing practices used to promote antipsychotic drugs.  Koster said the multi-million-dollar settlement would return health-care dollars to Missouri, and serve as a reminder to companies to market drugs for FDA approved use only.
