Man Gets Twenty- Five-Year Sentence For Stabbing Wife

William Allen Owens, who admitted to stabbing his wife to death in front of their seven year old son, will spend the next 25 years behind bars.  The sentence handed down this week is part of a plea deal with the state to reduce Owens’ first-degree murder charge to second-degree murder.  On March 29, 2009 Owens and his estranged wife Paula Jo Jones were riding in a car together when Owens repeatedly stabbed his wife in the abdomen and neck.  Their seven-year-old son was also in the car and witnessed the killing.
