Tony LaRussa and Joe Torre are among this year’s nominees for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The two former Cardinal Managers are among the twelve candidates on the Expansion Era ballot. Torre managed the Cards from 1990 thru 1995. He also led the New York Yankees to four World Series titles. Tony LaRussa was at the helm from 1996 until he retired in 2011, during which the Cardinals won two World Series, in 2006 and again in 2011.
