Jennings Murder

A murder is under investigation this morning right across the street from the Jennings Police Department.  An African American female was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds around 2 a.m. at a home in the 7-thousand block of Florence Place.  An unidentified forty-year old male is believed to be the suspect.  According to broadcast reports, there were children in the home but they were not harmed. 

The following media advisory was issued around 7:30 a.m.

Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department Jennings Detail responded to the 7000 block of Florence Place in Jennings at 1:55 A.M. on Monday, April 1, 2013 when children from the nearby residence reported that their mother had been injured. Officers found the victim, Antoinetta M. Davis, 32, deceased inside her residence from a gunshot wound. Six children, all pre-teen relatives, were inside the home at the time of the domestic incident.

The 40 year old male subject, who was an ex-boyfriend and father of some of her children, turned himself in around 5 A.M. to Justice Services in Clayton.
