Boy Scouts Approve To Accept Openly Gay Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America’s National Council has approved the vote to allow openly gay boys to be part of Scouts.  The vote, passing with 60-percent took place at the annual Scout leaders meeting in Texas; is still a polarizing issue with some conservative members opposed to the policy change.  Around 14 hundred voting members of the Boy Scouts of America attended the meeting and were those casting the deciding lots.  Gay adults are still not allowed to serve as Scout leaders.
