Activists Disappointed By New Execution Drug

An activist group against the death penalty is disappointed with the Department of Corrections announcement it will switch to pentobarbital to replace propofol in its executions.  In an email, Rita Linhardt, a spokesperson with Missourians Against the Death Penalty said it would have been more appropriate for the state to use the time to re-evaluate its use of capital punishment after the debacle with propofol as an execution drug. The next execution scheduled is for Joseph Paul Franklin on November 20th.
