Vince Neil becomes arena football team owner

Listen to Motley Crue on iHeartRadio

Vince Neil is joining the ranks of rockers who are getting into the Arena Football League.

The Motley Crue frontman tells The Las Vegas Sun he's now a co-owner of the Jacksonville Sharks.  He reportedly inked the deal to buy the team with other rockers, but his partners haven't been named.  And while the Sharks are based in Florida, Neil wants to bring Arena Football to the desert.  He says it's "a great action sport" that's "growing in popularity," and he thinks Las Vegas is a perfect place for a team.

Neil isn't the only rocker involved with the AFL.  KISS' Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are celebrating the inaugural season for their team, L.A. KISS, while Bon Jovi's Jon Bon Jovi helped establish the Philadelphia Soul ten years ago.
