iHeartMedia, Inc. is the world’s largest radio and outdoor advertising company with leading market positions in each of its two business segments: Radio and Outdoor. iHeartMedia is also one of the most innovative media players in the market – a leader in the converging media space, developing the best-in-class integrated media offers (e.g. Radio/Web) and building significant positions in the HD arena.
You must be at least 18 years of age and be enrolled in an accredited college or university. You MUST receive college credit for your internship.
Those that are accepted will receive hands on training and valuable experience in the radio industry with an emphasis in promotions.
Interns perform a variety of activities ranging from the daily office routine to assisting with promotional activities. You will be exposed not only to the “fun” side of radio, but also the hard work involved in creating a successful radio station.
Interning for iHeartMedia is a lot of work, and will consume some time, but it will be fun!
• Work weekly office hours
• Help process winner information
• Assist On-Air personalities and promotions during remote broadcasts
• And much, much more.
Our internship program is designed to match your college/university semester. Again, you MUST be able to receive credit through a university program. There are no exceptions – no high school students will be accepted.
• As an iHeartMedia intern, you will be required to work between 4 and 8 hours per week in the office.
• In addition, if you become an intern you must attend all remotes and events for which you are scheduled. You will also be given opportunities to job shadow in every department.
• Generally, interns devote 15-20 hours a week toward their internship.
These positions offer tremendous networking opportunities to become involved with the area's top businesses and entertainment facilitators. We look forward to helping you learn and advance in promotions, while representing iHeartMedia.
